Week 2
Hi everyone! This week the team spent a large amount of time fact checking the prices for the competitions. At competitions, the team's price sheet makes up a large chunk of the presentation and report points on the business side of the events. If the prices the team reports for parts of car are inaccurate, the team will be docked a significant amount of points. Below are some photos of the systems that I checked out for the team.
In addition to price checking this week, the team focused on setting up and recommissioning an old Baja car for the ASU open house later in the week. This car is used as a model to show what the team does in the club. I helped put on the shocks for the old car and on the night of the event entertained the some of the guests.
Additionally, I learned how to TIG weld and MIG weld and spent several hours practicing over the course of the week. I still haven't been given a key to Solidworks yet but I have been doing some research on the program so I can start using it immediately.
